Hi there, total beginner. I have one weird requirement for you : i want to be able to transport my metal detector on my motorcycle (a V-Strom 800, it's a trail, not a sportbike).
And as a beginner, i do not wish to spend thousands on it. So no Garret ATX for me :)
The only one i found so far that "might" do the job is the "xterra pro" + a 3D printable handle folding mechanism.
It's probably not the only one in the market that could fit my odd requirement. Any advice welcome.
While i'm here i might as well post my other requirement but the motorcycle one is an absolute must (i don't have car).
waterproof isn't strictly necessary (rain proofing would be nice though)
it's unlikely i'll ever go to the beach with it (far away)
i don't have a specific goal other than having fun, if i had to pick one it would be meteorite hunting (extremely unlikely to ever happen). But i don't really care about my findings or their value (i'll probably get tired of rusted nails very quickly though)
