Two years ago, used to own an Equinox 600. Regrettably, sold it soon after. Living in central Florida, beaches aren't as close to me as I would like. Finding or carving out the time to do so, while fully employed, wasn't as easy as I would've wanted. Discovered your channel thanks thru YT and am enjoying going over all the videos. One thing I'm starting to find, is that, it seems, you have to dig, no matter what. Oftentimes I see in the video the detector going off with a promising signal and then, the commentary that it could be a coin, silver or gold piece, only to come up as clad or trash. I'm guessing that, newbie detectorists oughtta dig, regardless of the number / sound?

Absolutely! That is especially true on a beach. But it’s also for learning. You start to HEAR shapes with practice. It helps your overall inference. There is no way to teach that….. you just have to dig dig dig and you learn it!
