Have a older EQ and works fine but i have EMI issues about anywhere i go in town and some super rural spots as well. Run it at 18 to 22 most time but some days i just have to find another spot. Which newer detector is best at beating EMI and don't need to be a engineer to use it. And can you suggest a second coil for the nox. I usually hunt old parks and fresh water beaches and wooded area's occasionally. I like the size & shape of the coiltek 5x10 but you can find a review for any thing you want to hear. I was a Tesoro user for years and had the 4" puck. It was good in high trash sites only, Too small for anything else. I'm afraid I'd feel the same about the Minlab 6" EQ coil especially in the water. thanks, DirtSniffer

make sure you coil wire is clean and secured properly to controller.. Make sure coil is clean below skid plate. Just something simple you may have already thought to check.
EMI is like the weather except no forecasts! Anyway i did buy the coiltek 10x5 and love it. It's always better with EMI for sure. But have had less problems with the stock coil. Why that is not sure.

I think not fully charged was the problem. Also my neighbor had installed all kinds of wireless crap.
Sure it wasn't yours?
Is there a way to update the older Nox?
Beach EMI natually happens when that yapping child can't see the headphones on your head and won't stop following you for hours and their parents are nowhere to be found and the Police do not want them.
CHOW!
Will give it a go, thanks.
I bet I can somewhat solve your problem! Charge your Nox to 100% and try those areas again. I too have 2 old equinoxes now , a 600 and 800. There is a battery quirk that I have noticed that when it is not fully charged (less than 3 bars) it acts unstable. Try sending it in for a battery replacement. But first, trust me…..go back to those same areas with a full charge and it will be a different detector.
